Fifth, the innovative application of new chemical materials will provide architects with new ideas. Tang Shifang said that there will be a trend of large-scale development of green buildings and ecological buildings. The United Kingdom has already proposed legislation that all buildings after 2016 must be green buildings. The United States also has provisions in this respect. However, the task of advancing energy conservation construction is arduous. One of the bottlenecks currently facing is industrial policy issues, and the second is technical and regulatory issues. It is reported that our government has accelerated the pace of building energy conservation. Lu Shanqian, an expert on the new wall and building energy-saving materials subcommittee of the Shanghai Building Materials Industry Association, said that in recent days, the state has issued two drafts of energy-saving design standards. The first is the construction standards in the Xia Leng and Dong Wen districts, and it is based on the actual situation in the area. Adjustments, in particular, impose mandatory requirements on the energy conservation of doors and windows; second, it proposes the design standards for the renovation of existing residential buildings, and the energy-saving reconstruction of residential buildings will be implemented step by step. The “Regulations on the Administration of Building Energy Conservation in Shanghai” is about to be introduced. It is understood that only 20% of the 860 million square meters of buildings in Shanghai belong to energy-saving buildings.

Some experts at the forum proposed that there are three contradictions in the energy conservation of buildings. The first is the contradiction between the common life cycle of building energy-saving materials and constructions. Now commonly used organic and inorganic insulation materials, its life cycle is 25 to 30 years, but the building's reasonable use life is 70 to 100 years. Second, the contradiction between existing energy-saving materials and fire protection requirements. Our country stipulates that public buildings must have Class A non-combustible materials on the external walls above 50 meters. However, at present, the most commonly used energy-saving materials can reach Class A standards. Third, vigorously promote the contradiction between building energy conservation and urban security. Some strong insulation materials with relatively low strength and density are affixed to rigid bricks. It is not known how long the firmness of the tiles can be ensured. After a few years, the bricks in high-rise buildings will not cause any hidden dangers in urban security. In this regard, experts suggest that the chemical building materials industry and the architectural design industry should jointly join forces to resolve and resolve.
