After nearly ten years of rapid development, China's heavy-duty machine tool industry has made great progress in both production capacity and product technology. However, from the perspective of the industry as a whole, China's heavy-duty machine tool products are still far from the international advanced level, and are still in the middle and low end of the international division of labor and industrial chain. Due to the lack of market competitiveness of medium and high-end heavy-duty machine tools, it is currently unable to compete with international advanced products. The gap between domestic heavy-duty machine tools and international advanced products is mainly reflected in the fact that the reliability and stability of machine tools are not high, the overall level and quality of machine tool manufacturing technology are lacking, the technical level of core operating components needs to be improved, and the ability of comprehensive solutions is insufficient. This has become one of the main reasons for the long-term passive position of domestic heavy-duty machine tool products in the market competition.
