The influence and relationship. The unique perspective will inevitably trigger our deep thinking on the green future of China's auto industry. Tencent Auto exclusively broadcasts the 6th China Automotive Industry Summit Forum. The following is a speech by Lu Wei, Iveco China Business Development Director.

Moderator Dominik Declercq: Thank you, Mr. Shen! Your report provides us with very strong data, which should be very important at the moment. The next speaker is Mr. Rolf D. Cremer, the dean and dean of China Europe International Business School. Mr. Lu Hao will speak on his behalf. Mr. Lu Hao is the Director of Business Development at Iveco China. Please have Mr. Liu!

Lu Hao: First of all, I would like to thank China Europe International Business School and European Industry Association for organizing this forum so that we can communicate with the experts. Today, on behalf of Mr. Rudi von Meister, I share with you some of Iveco's ideas in the commercial vehicle field.

Iveco offers a full range of commercial vehicle transportation solutions. Our products range from light to heavy cargo buses, special vehicles and military vehicles. At the same time, we also provide financial and other related services. Iveco's operations have maintained a healthy and good growth momentum since 2005. Compared with the results of operations in the first half of this year and the first half of 2005, the growth rate was 45% year-on-year. Iveco is a member of the Fiat Group family. Since we first licensed the Nanjing series of light trucks and light passengers in the Daily series through a technology transfer agreement in 1985, we have a total of three locations and four joint ventures in China. At present, we have conducted a comprehensive strategic cooperation with SAIC. In Nanjing, we have a long-established joint venture, Nanjing Iveco, which mainly manufactures the Daily series of light trucks and buses. July 1, 2007 acquired Nanjing's Yuejin Auto, while Nanjing Iveco also produced and sold Yuejin's light trucks, medium trucks, and heavy trucks. In 2007, we established two joint ventures in Chongqing, one for heavy trucks and the other for SAIC-FIAT.

China's commercial vehicles will maintain a sustained and stable growth in the future. In 2009, we expect it to grow slightly in line with 2008's production and sales, and then resume growth. Its growth rate will basically remain relatively stable. With regard to infrastructure, economic development, and transportation, the state is currently implementing curbs and regulations, and the resulting balanced development of resources and industries will promote overloading as a future development trend. This brings two requirements, vehicles must be highly reliable, and after-sales service must have the ability to service around the clock. At present, more and more government and consumer groups are beginning to have a strong sense of environmental protection. In the future, we will develop alternative energy vehicles. With the continuous improvement of national security regulations and the strengthening of people-oriented awareness in the industry and market, we believe that there is a trend in the future. In addition to developing safer vehicle protection drivers in terms of safety, the The lower protective device of a commercial vehicle under discussion is actually paying more attention to another group in road traffic, namely the safety of drivers of pedestrians and other vehicles. From the perspective of people, there is also a smart driving, through a variety of new technical means to improve the control of the vehicle and reduce the burden on the driver.

Iveco currently has three major strategic pillars in China. First, China's joint ventures have achieved sustained and steady and healthy growth in the Chinese domestic market. Secondly, through Iveco's technology platform and the development of a reliable and simple product platform, Iveco sells domestic joint venture products through its distribution network of over 4,000 dealers in more than 200 countries around the world. The last point that is also important to us is to make full use of China's current strong supplier system and integrate it into our global platform to enhance Iveco's global competitiveness.

In these two days of forums, everyone mentioned a sustainable development. In China, Iveco's strategy for sustainable development focuses on two points. The first point is to train future local management talents. Another point is to develop our products through the integration and development of hybrid platforms. This hybrid platform not only means power, but there is also an integrated technology and platform.

In terms of training talented personnel, Iveco has developed a project, “The Road to the Common Future”, which focuses on the development of the talents of the staff. It mainly trains localized talents in Iveco's joint venture factories. "The road to the common future", Iveco first started from China. In 2006, we selected the first batch of 21 trainees and sent them to Turin for comprehensive management training. These trainees have now graduated and are now assigned to work in China and Latin America markets. In 2007, we selected the second batch. The first batch was mainly trainees recruited from college graduates. The second batch is a combination that begins with the selection of talents within the joint venture and combines it with the recruitment of graduates to conduct a training. And the coverage also extends from China and Latin America to developed countries and the former Soviet Union, including emerging markets like India. Our main focus is on developing the technical capabilities of our personnel. We also hope to cultivate a globally-oriented view of our managers in the future. In addition, these people pass new ideas and opportunities for discovery to existing joint ventures. The last point is very important. On the basis of internationalization and synergies, we can make a comprehensive use of the sharing of information and resources between our headquarters and our branches.

The second strategic point is to develop a hybrid platform product.

This product is a hybrid product of our Chongqing SAIC Iveco Hongyan. The car's prototype was exhibited at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year. The main purpose is to adapt to the needs of the Chinese market and develop on the basis of Iveco's cab to develop new interiors, instruments and operating systems. With Iveco's power conversion system, the engine can now meet the country's three emission standards, and it also has the ability to meet the country's four countries in the future to upgrade. The Iveco chassis technology has been upgraded and localization efforts are being made to fully reflect China's cost advantage and meet the more demanding requirements of Chinese customers on price/performance ratio. This is a modified car of Chongqing Hongyan, and the main technology is the vehicle model technology of Hongyan Heavy Truck. Mainly to enhance the appearance of modeling, while the intrinsic quality of more than 200 upgrades. Its main highlight is the use of Iveco technology to improve the powertrain. This is Nanjing Iveco production, this model is a full range of Dailys platform introduced from Italy, this year's Beijing auto show in April also showed. The car was first put on sale in Shanghai in September this year. The prototype was also shown at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year. This car has been improved on the basis of the original leap forward platform. It can be said to be a reborn upgrade. It mainly introduced Iveco's powertrain technology, and it has developed a brand-new technology for the needs of China's light truck customers combined with European technology. design. On the basis of these technological advancements, we have maintained the cost advantage of domestically produced products.

Back to environmental protection, Iveco has always valued its commitment to environmental protection. We have now developed hybrids, fuel cells, and electric vehicles in Europe. Iveco has been a leader in Europe for cleaning diesel and natural gas engines. In the European market, we currently have more than 10,000 units of natural gas engines that meet Euro 5 emissions.

This is a medium-sized truck with benchmarking properties that we developed in Europe. It is mainly used for the logistics transportation needs in the city for distribution activities at multiple distribution points. In the case of frequent parking and startup conditions, Energy consumption keeps emissions low and fuel consumption low. We are also working with our partners to develop hybrid light trucks and light passengers. We cooperate with Fedex to develop light passengers, mainly for their work of picking and delivering. There is also a zero-emission electric vehicle that has been tested for customers in Europe.

In China, the current situation is still based on diesel engines. We have introduced and localized three series of engines in China. All engine series currently meet the country's three emission requirements. In the Beijing market, we have provided 1,350 Carsor series engines for the Beijing public transport system this year, mainly to meet some of the energy saving and emission reduction tasks. In Nanjing Iveco we also developed a new type of electric vehicle. At the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, we donated a pure electric zero-emission light passenger to CCTV's “Environmental Protection”. This is the scene of a road test and lift test for our hybrid and electric vehicles.
