It is reported that the hydrocracking center will include a set of 70,000 barrels per day vacuum distillation unit, a set of 40,000 barrels per day hydrocracking unit and a set of 40,000 barrels per day visbreaking unit. The device will be completed and put into production in June 2011, when it will supply high value-added products such as naphtha, diesel oil, kerosene and lubricant base oil to the Korean market.
SK Energy plans to invest heavily in building hydrocracking centers
According to Dow Jones Seoul April 29, South Korea's largest oil refiner SK Energy recently said that it will invest 1.52 trillion won (approximately US$1.53 billion) to build a new hydrocracking center in Incheon, South Korea.
