What are the installation requirements and precautions for the vortex flowmeter?

The rotary vortex flowmeter integrates flow, temperature and pressure detection functions, and can automatically compensate for temperature, pressure and compression factors. It is an ideal instrument for gas metering in petroleum, chemical, electric power and metallurgy industries. The vortex flowmeter integrates the flow probe, microprocessor, pressure and temperature sensor. It adopts a built-in combination to make the structure more compact. It can directly measure the flow, pressure and temperature of the fluid, and automatically track the compensation and compression factor correction in real time. .

The following introduces you to the installation requirements and precautions for the vortex flowmeter :
1. When installing the flowmeter of the vortex flowmeter , it is strictly forbidden to directly weld at the inlet and outlet flanges to avoid burning the internal parts of the flowmeter.
Be sure to clean the newly installed or overhauled pipes and install the flowmeter after removing debris from the pipes.
The flowmeter should be installed in a place that is easy to maintain, free from strong electromagnetic field interference, and has no strong mechanical vibration or thermal radiation;
Flowmeters should not be used in situations where flow is frequently interrupted and there is strong pulsating flow or pressure pulsation;
When the flowmeter is installed outdoors, the upper part should be covered to prevent rainwater intrusion and sun exposure from affecting the service life of the flowmeter;
The flowmeter can be installed at any angle, and the flow direction of the fluid should be consistent with the flow direction marked on the flowmeter;
In the pipeline construction, the installation of telescopic tubes or bellows should be considered to avoid serious stretching or breaking of the flowmeter;
The flow meter should be installed coaxially with the pipe and prevent the seal and butter from entering the pipe cavity;
When using an external power supply, the flowmeter must be reliably grounded. It must not share the ground wire with the high-power system. When the pipeline is installed or repaired, the ground wire of the welding system must not be connected to the flowmeter.
In order not to affect the normal fluid transportation and easy maintenance, it is required to install the bypass pipe as shown in Figure 4 and ensure the straight pipe section with ≥3DN and ≥1DN.

2. Installation Precautions The sensor can be installed in vertical, horizontal or any inclined position according to the flow direction mark;
When the pipeline is long or close to the vibration source, support should be installed on the upstream and downstream of the flowmeter to eliminate the influence of pipeline vibration;
The sensor should be installed at a sufficient location to facilitate inspection and maintenance of the flowmeter and to meet the environmental requirements of the flowmeter;
Avoid interference from strong external magnetic fields;
When installed outdoors, there should be coverings to avoid sun exposure and rain erosion, affecting the service life of the instrument;
When testing the pipeline, pay attention to the pressure measurement range of the pressure sensor configured by the intelligent flowmeter to prevent the pressure sensor from being damaged by overpressure.
Attention should be paid to the influence of the installation stress. The upstream and downstream pipes of the installation flowmeter should be coaxial, otherwise shear stress will be generated. The position of the flowmeter should be installed to take into account the thickness of the gasket or to install an elastic expansion joint on the downstream side.
Before installing the flowmeter, remove debris such as welding slag from the pipeline.
When put into operation, the upper and lower valves of the flowmeter should be slowly opened to prevent the instantaneous airflow from rushing and rupturing the spinner.
When the flowmeter needs to transmit signals remotely, it should be connected to the external power supply (8~24) VDC strictly according to the requirements of “Electrical Performance Index”. It is strictly forbidden to directly connect 220VAC or 380VAC power supply to the signal output port;
