A new iOS app can heal your iPhone addiction

A new application for iOS called Moment claims that it can help you reduce your iPhone usage. The app keeps running in the background of your phone and tracks your daily iPhone usage; when you learn how much time you spend on your phone, you can set daily iPhone usage limits, and when you start getting closer to that limit, your phone will remind you.

So let's say you want to cover your iPhone in use every day for 30 minutes. Once you reach 15 minutes, the notification will pop up, no matter what you do on your phone, tell you that you are halfway to your use limit. Once you hit 30 minutes, the notification will tell you to pick up your phone and enjoy your day. This application was developed by Kevin Holesh, who wrote a widely-recognized blog article titled "Creating my iPhone that I am addicted to" and announced the launch of the application.
An app is unlikely to completely heal your screen. But it can help you spend a lot of time on a reasonable number of phones - and encourage you to direct your energy toward more worthy pursuit.
