BASF recently announced that it has become the first chemical company to join the Alliance for Sustainable Development. The Alliance for Sustainable Development is an independent organization that establishes a scientific platform, working together with multiple global players to promote innovation and improve the sustainability of consumer products. BASF, together with other retailers and consumer product manufacturers who have become members of the alliance, is responsible for the mission of its product life cycle, including social and environmental considerations.
