A new robot learning algorithm has been announced this week, known as the BRETT or Berkeley robots to eliminate tedious tasks, as the name implies is built by the Berkeley University Robotics Learning Lab. This PR2 BRETT robot has been developed by learning to make mistakes and use trials and errors, correct failures using its programming algorithms, and trying to solve simple problems on its own. Research groups at the University of California, Berkeley include Chelsea Fyne, Pieter Abbeel, Brett, Trevor Darrell, and Sergey. Professor Pieter Abbeel, professor of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley, explained: “We reported that this is a new approach to learning robots. The key is that when a robot faces something new, we don’t need to reprogram. The software coding robot learns how to allow robots to learn all the different tasks we give it."
