CCS will launch the latest large container ship type technical service
Based on the requirements of container ship accidents and the international maritime community in recent years, the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) issued the unified requirements for container ships (UR) S11A and S34 in 2015, and will take effect on July 1, 2016. .
S11A is the requirement for the total longitudinal strength of the container ship, and S34 is the functional requirement for the finite element analysis of the container ship. Compared with S11, S11A has adjusted the wave load, and the strength requirements of some areas have been improved, while S34 has increased the direct calculation and verification of container ships.
China Classification Society (CCS) participated in the development of S11A and S34, and combined with the research results of large-scale container ship research projects, comprehensively upgraded the specifications of large container ships, including descriptive specifications and direct calculation requirements, and included S11A. And S34 requirements. The CCS Rules for Classification of Sea-Going Steel Ships (2016 Revision Notice), which is included in this section, has been published on the CCS official website and will take effect on July 1, 2016. At the same time, in order to comply with the new regulations for container ships, CCS developed a special calculation software to meet the new UR of container ships.
On the basis of sufficient technical preparation, CCS provides ship development technology services to the industry. Recently, CCS completed the ship type approval evaluation of the 14500TEU container ship of Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute. The evaluation results show that this type of ship has good compliance with CCS specifications and can meet the requirements of S11A and S34.
In addition, through the classification service of series container ships, CCS has developed large-scale container ship evaluation technologies such as banding, slamming, bombing, flutter, vibration and noise on specific routes, and formulated risk control measures and technical requirements, which will be the industry. Continuously provide a full range of technical services for the design and development of container ships.
