On May 30th, the largest domestic coke oven gas to synthesize natural gas project was started in Xiaoyi City, Shanxi Province. It is a demonstration project of "Four Gas in One" built jointly by Shanxi Guoxin Energy Development Group and Shanxi Loudong Junan Company. With a total investment of 410 million yuan and a construction period of two years, the project adopts coke oven gas methanation technology independently developed by the Southwest Research and Design Institute, which can annually synthesize 150 million cubic meters of coke oven gas to 170 million cubic meters of natural gas. After the completion of the project, zero discharge of coke oven gas will be achieved, and 340,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 1,200 tons of sulfur dioxide will be reduced annually.
