EMEter, a global leader in smart meter information platforms, today announced that the company’s EnergyIPTM smart meter information platform management system and Customer Web Portal have been adopted by Taiwan’s “Smart Metering System Technology Planning Research Plan” last year. EMeter, which has the largest scale of operation in the industry, has successfully integrated different meters into its smart meter information platform management system in Taiwan’s smart electricity demonstration program, and provided first-line assistance, significantly reducing the development time and costs of the partner manufacturers. At the present stage, a total of 308 meter installations were completed, as well as various communication protocol tests such as PLC, ZigBee, and WiFi, as well as important milestones such as Traditional Engage Customer Portal and traditional Chinese culture. In addition, eMeter also integrates different meters into its Meter Data Management System (MDMS) and integrates meter data from the head end to eMeter's EnergyIP.

Looking forward to the second phase, eMeter will continue to assist the ITRI in the installation of 400 meters and provide home area network (HAN) meter data support. At the same time, eMeter will also launch the reporting module and provide technical advice for customized reporting. Through the demonstration program, eMeter not only continues to provide technical and training resources, but also demonstrates its strong integration capabilities of MDMS.
