Recently, Mann Diesel & Turbo signed a dual fuel propulsion system for a semi-submersible crane ship (NSCV) for the Dutch contractor Heerema Offshore Services with Singapore Seco Maritime - including a post-exhaust after-treatment contract.

The scope of the contract signed on October 30, 2015 includes: 12 MAN 8L51/60DF four-stroke engines and 12 MAN selective catalytic reduction systems.
Mann Diesel & Turbo pointed out that the total power of these engines is about 96 MW, and is convinced that this is one of the world's largest installed engine power. This is the first time that a ship of this type has adopted a dual-fuel engine. When completed, it will become the largest of its kind in the world. The engine will be delivered in the first quarter of 2017 and the crane will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2018.
