Moisture Analyzer MA50, MA100 Operating Instructions (2)

ready

Before drying the sample, the following preparations must be completed:

- Adjustment of existing measurement system (if required)

- Sample preparation

- Set the drying program parameters

Adjust existing measurement systems

Due to the ease of use and the shorter analysis time, the moisture measurement method often replaces another drying method (eg oven drying method). In this case, this moisture measurement method should be used to obtain values that are compatible with your standard reference method.

l Hospitality parallel measurement: adopt a new sample and divide it into two parts

l Use your standard analytical method to determine the moisture content of the first part

l The moisture content of another part measured by the moisture analyzer is as follows:
- Fully automatic switching parameters
- Lower temperature setting than oven drying
- Temperature setting for organics: 80-100°C
- Temperature setting for inorganics: 140-160°C

О If the result of the second part does not correspond to the result of the first part

- First, repeat measurements using a different temperature setting
- Then use semi-automatic mode with closed parameters (such as 5mg/30s or asap mode)

Asap stands for "automatic search/autoprogramming." The Asap mode monitors the drying program and when a key is pressed, the analysis expectation value is calculated as a semi-automatic shutdown parameter, which is then stored in the program running parameters.

О If necessary, change the switch parameters:

- Increase endpoint identification: set parameters to 2mg/30s or 5mg/60s

- Reduce endpoint recognition, set parameters to 10mg/30s or 5mg/10s

Sample preparation

Choose a sample

l Select a representative part of the test substance as a sample
- A representative number of independent palms used for quality control
C shows that the trend is sufficient for online control

О Product homogenization before sample preparation. If necessary, use:

- Mix or stir
- Take several samples from several different areas of the product
- Take several samples at intervals

l Take only one sample at a time for the agreed analysis and sample preparation should be as fast as possible. In this way, as a result of analysis at normal temperature, it does not lose or increase moisture.

ОIf you need to analyze several samples at one time, the sample should be sealed and stored in an insulated air reservoir to ensure that the stored conditions do not change the sample status or conditions:
- Hot or volatile substances quickly lose their moisture
- If the stored sample is in a storage tank, moisture will condense on the tank wall
- If the storage tank is too large and it is not fully packed, the sample will exchange water with the air remaining in the storage tank

О If necessary, mix the condensed water with the sample

sample

l When breaking the sample, avoid contact with the heat source: heat source will make the water to feed

l Break the sample using the following method:
- 杵(捣)
- Shredder (see below)
For solid-containing liquids, use the following items:
- Glass mixer
- Spoon (sample spoon)
- Magnetic stirrer

О Use a suitable design for crushing the sample

Easy to use sample tray

l Use only SaiDuo's easy-to-handle sample tray (inner diameter 92mm)
Repeated use of sample trays results in poor repeatability of results:
- There is still residue on the sample tray after cleaning
- Detergent residue will evaporate in the next moisture determination
C. The cleaning process causes scratches on the surface of the sample pan to generate rising heat during the drying process, which can result in a significant rise in the result.

Add sample to sample tray

l Spread a thin and flat layer (2-5mm in height and 5-15g in weight) onto the sample pan;
- Non-tiling of the sample results in uneven heat dissipation
C sample cannot be completely dried
C Measurement time does not have to be extended
C If the sample is too thick, the sample surface burns or forms a shell
The shell formed by C may make it difficult or impossible to remove moisture during drying
C cannot determine and do not know the moisture content of the sample

l Add liquid sample, paste sample or melted sample on glass fiber filter (order number: 6906940); you will have the following advantages:
- Uniform dispersion due to capillary effects
C Avoid liquid foaming and droplet formation
C Large surface makes moisture easy to evaporate
C. It is convenient for the “sea sand method” to dry the sugar-containing, one-layer shell and the surface of the sealed sample. A glass fiber filter is very helpful in this type of assay. Water can evaporate below the surface of the filter. If you place a fiberglass filter on the sample, you avoid or limit the shell formation.

l Has solid shell, glass fiber filter for heat-sensitive samples (order number: 6906940) has the following advantages:
- slight heating due to the sample surface avoiding excessive heat
C Higher temperature settings can be selected
C The sample surface is uniform
C Moisture evaporates quickly
C Excellent reproducibility of fat-containing samples

Avoid shell formation

You can add a solvent to the sample during the measurement to avoid shell formation. The weight of your added solvent does not affect the final measurement.

l When you close the sample room, it will turn on again within two seconds of the sound.

l Add solvent to the sample

l Close the sample chamber and start the assay as usual

Set up the drying program

Drying program

- MA100: 30 programs

- MA50: 5 programs

Maximum Function 5 characters The independent name is used as a user ID in the program options and used as a moisture measurement output.

All programs list the list according to the corresponding number.

The heating procedure entertains the moisture measurement of a substance. You can use four heating procedures: standard drying, rapid drying, gentle drying (MA100 only), stage drying (MA100 only)

Standard Drying: The standard drying requires a final temperature input.

Fast drying: Fast drying, you need to enter the final temperature, higher heat production.

Gentle drying (MA100 only): gentle drying, you need to enter the final temperature and the time required to reach the final temperature.

Stage drying (for MA100 only): Stage drying consists of three stages. You need to enter the temperature for each phase, including the time for the first and second programs. The switch parameters will only be activated in the third phase.

Bypass temperature: When the sample chamber is closed, the temperature is set to a fixed value.

Weighing: You can initially enter the limit weight for the sample (minimum and maximum or target with percent deviation)

Measurement start
