Evergreen Modular Offshore Anchor Pendant Buoy(APB) consists of removable, interchangeable modules with discrete end modules and centre modules assembled onto central steelwork and fixed in position with retaining flange, making up buoys ranging from 1 tonne to 100 tonne nett buoyancy.Â
This system allows for the number of centre modules to vary according to the nett buoyancy required. By adding or subtracting the centre modules, buoys can be redeployed on future projects, making them a viable and cost effective option.Â
Each module is manufactured from a high performance, low density rigid PE / PU foam core, totally encapsulated within a polymer skin. The PE / PU core is lightweight and closed cell in nature and will not absorb water even if the skin is punctured.Â
Nominal skin thickness is 12~14mm and is colored bright yellow /Â orange. The skin provides protection for the flotation core against impact damage during deployment and recovery from the vessel.Â
The standard steelwork consists of central tubular section with an anchor handling cross at one end and a pad eye capable of accepting a cleaned and coal tar epoxy painted.Â
The buoy is assembled by threading the modules onto the central steelwork. Location spigots placed between adjacent modules ensure alignment and prevent rotation during deployment, and the modules are also keyed to the end flanges to further prevent rotation.Â
