Types and characteristics of foaming agents

The foaming agent is mostly heteropolar surface active substance, slightly soluble in water, and the composition is relatively stable. The following commonly used ones are as follows: 1) The foaming ability and characteristics of the second flotation oil (2# oil) are: foaming Stronger, can produce a large number of uniform, suitable viscosity foam. It is a dark yellow oily liquid with a pine scent. It is a product obtained by turpentine steamed with turpentine and sulphated with sulfuric acid and alcohol.

2) Eucalyptus oil. Eucalyptus oil is a distillation product of eucalyptus leaves. Its main component is eucalyptol C10H18O. Its foaming ability is not as good as that of pine oil. It is foamy and brittle and has good selectivity.

3) Camphor oil. It is the general name for the residual oil of the leaves and roots of the eucalyptus after distillation. Divided into white oil, red oil and blue oil. White oil can be used instead of pine oil. The selectivity is better. The foam produced by red oil is more viscous. The blue oil has both foaming and collecting ability and poor selectivity.

4) Cresol acid. It is a coking industry to pay for products. The cresol acid bubble capacity is weaker than that of pine oil, the foam is brittle and the selectivity is good.

5) Higher alcohols. For the chemical petroleum industry, the product has good foaming and good selectivity.

6) Synthetic foaming agent. The No. 4 flotation oil in the synthetic agent has more foaming properties than the pine oil, and has good selectivity. At the same time, it has the characteristics of easy to dissolve, easy to wash off, not affected by PH value and hardness of water.
