(1) Beijing Benz Auto Co., Ltd. recalled some C-class, E-class, GLA-class, GLC SUV and GLK-class vehicles produced from July 14, 2010 to December 17, 2016, a total of 83 vehicles;
(II) Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. recalls some of the imported A, B, E, M, S, and GL produced from October 1, 2008 to September 15, 2016. Level, CLS, GLK, CLA, GLE SUV, GLC SUV, smart vehicles, a total of 63 vehicles.
The software of the vehicle within the scope of this recall is incorrectly coded during the upgrade, which may affect the function of the relevant control unit, resulting in the airbag being erroneously popped up, or the control unit may not correctly detect the use of the seat belt, which may present a safety hazard. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Auto Co., Ltd. will upgrade the control unit software for vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate potential safety hazards.
The Mercedes-Benz Authorized Service Center will notify the customer about the recall by registered mail. At the same time, users can also call the service hotline for consultation.
