It is reported that the current maximum capacity of cylindrical lithium-ion batteries reported in the world is 50Ah. The capacity of this cylindrical 400Ah battery developed by China can be called the world's "giant". According to the project leader Tang Zhiyuan of Tianjin University, many small-capacity lithium-ion batteries are currently used in the field of electric vehicles to provide power through series-parallel connection. For example, driving a 12-meter 33-seat electric bus requires at least thousands of 10Ah. Small batteries for serial and parallel combinations. This method will make the battery management system (BMS) and control system too complicated, thus increasing the battery safety and other issues. Using this "giant" battery just broke through this "bottleneck", only about 200 batteries can be used. It greatly reduces the difficulty of achieving equilibrium in the control process and improves the safety and economy of the car.

According to reports, on the positive and negative electrode materials, this type of battery has been combined for the first time with lithium iron phosphate and lithium titanate electrode materials with good thermal stability and structural stability, thereby improving the safety performance of the battery and preventing overcharge and high temperatures. , short circuits, and impacts cause explosions. Its stainless steel "outerwear" is characterized by fast heat conduction, high heat dissipation, good pressure resistance and good impact resistance. In terms of service life, this battery is expected to have more than 8,000 cycles, which is 2-4 times the life of a typical lithium battery. At present, this "giant" battery has been put into small batch production and will be officially put into operation in Longxi Bay, Jinzhou State-level Economic and Technological Development Zone in Liaoning Province next year.
