Qingdao High-tech Zone has built the first international graphene innovation center in China and the only national graphene industry innovation demonstration base in the north, attracting many leading talents in the graphene industry and introducing 50 graphene and advanced carbon materials projects.

“Qingdao is one of the three major producing areas of graphite in China, and the reserves of graphite account for 22% of the national reserves.” Song Lilu, chairman of Qingdao National Graphene Industry Innovation Demonstration Base, said that the Qingdao Municipal Government has also set up billions of graphene angels.
