Japan plans to reduce energy consumption by 30%

According to foreign reports, in order to ensure stable energy supply, the Japanese government plans to reduce energy consumption by 30% by 2030. To this end, Japan's Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry plans to issue a new energy strategy summary in March, and requested the Natural Resources and Energy Advisory Committee to propose specific long-term energy policies by June.
The new energy policy will amend the basic energy plan, reduce dependence on petroleum energy, and expand the use of nuclear energy. At present, Japan's transportation industry uses almost all of its oil. In the future, it will require the dependency rate to be reduced to around 80%, and it will use more alternative fuels such as fuel cells and biofuel ethanol.
Since the oil crisis in the 1970s, Japan's insistence on implementing a series of energy conservation policies has made Japan's primary energy consumption and GDP ratio already the lowest in the world. In the past 30 years, energy efficiency in Japan's energy consumption has increased by 30%. The goal of the Japanese government is to further improve energy efficiency and increase energy efficiency through technological innovation.
