At the Pearl River Delta Water Treatment Innovation Exchange Conference, David Leffler, Director-General of the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection, said: Israel is a desert country with poor water resources, but it has developed world-class water technologies. We have the highest rate of wastewater reuse in the world, 80% of wastewater is recovered for agricultural irrigation, and extremely strict effluent standards have been established.

In order to better undertake Israel's water treatment technology, China-Israel Industrial Park and Israel Haifa Industrial Park signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation between the two parties. Haifa Industrial Park is Israel's number one industrial park, and enjoys an international reputation with Silicon Valley. The president of the China-Israel Industrial Park, Pan Huajun, introduced that the two sides have identified each other to enter the park, share resources, and realize the entire industrial chain ecology from top-level R&D to market matching.

At the same time, the China-Israel Industrial Park is working to establish strategic partnerships with water investment groups in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhanjiang, and Shenzhen City, initially opening up the water treatment market in the Pearl River Delta and shifting mature Israeli technology to different parts of the country. Promote the technological upgrading of the water industry in the Pearl River Delta.

What needs to be solved next is the difficulty of technology localization. Pan Huaxuan said that the China-Israel Industrial Park will accelerate the process of localization of Israeli technology, cooperate with Israel’s scientific research institutions to build a research and development center, combine secondary domestic needs for actual innovation, and enhance China’s water treatment technology independent innovation capability.
