GB7258 will launch the latest version of commercial vehicles is the focus of modification

GB7258 "Motor Vehicle Operating Safety Technical Conditions" will be released in 2010 the latest version. Compared with the current version of GB7258-2004, the most relevant part of the amendment is the commercial vehicle part. If this standard can be implemented without compromise, it will certainly further improve the safety level and technical level of commercial vehicles in China. Passenger car companies that master full-load monolithic frame structures and parts companies that produce tireless radial tires, retarders, disc brakes, anti-lock brakes, speed-limiting devices, and car driving recorders will also benefit from it. .

In response to frequent accidents involving heavy-duty trucks, buses, and buses in recent years, the amendments to the commercial vehicle in the "Technical Conditions for the Operational Safety of Motor Vehicles (Consultation Draft)" focus on two aspects: First, the safety devices for key vehicles are raised. Equipped with requirements and structural safety requirements, the safety technical requirements for road vehicles with low safety performance, such as sleeper buses and slats and trucks, shall be properly strengthened to improve the overall operational safety technical performance of road-operated vehicles; and secondly, the technical requirements for safe operation of buses shall be further defined. , to provide a basis for strengthening bus safety technology management.

Compared with GB7258-2004, there are 15 major amendments to the ED, including 4 aspects involving commercial trucks. The main points are as follows:

(1) Revise the definition of motor vehicles to classify cars into passenger cars, trucks, and special-purpose vehicles, and combine the original motorcycles and mopeds into motorcycles to comply with the Road Traffic Safety Law and its implementation. The relevant provisions of the Regulations are compatible; at the same time, terms and definitions such as road passenger coaches, tourist coaches, trolleys, dangerous goods transport vehicles, coach vehicles, special-purpose vehicles for disabled persons, tractors on roads, and special motor vehicles have been added so that Quasi-users can understand more clearly the scope of application of relevant standards.

(2) Improve the technical safety requirements for large- and medium-sized passenger vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and dangerous trucks.

For medium- and medium-duty trucks, it is stipulated that all wheels of semi-trailer tractors and trucks with a total mass of more than 12,000 kg should be equipped with disc brakes, and should be equipped with anti-lock braking devices and speed limiting devices that meet the requirements (or have speed limit function). With safety devices such as car driving recorders, trucks with a total mass of more than 12,000 kg are mainly equipped with retarders or other auxiliary braking devices for driving on mountain roads; each rear position lamp and rear truck of trucks with a total mass of more than 4500 kg Turn signals and brake lights shall have a light-transmitting surface with an area of 90mm diameter or 6400mm2 lighting area; trucks with a total mass of more than 12,000kg (excluding semitrailer tractors) and vehicles. For trailers with a length greater than 8.0m and for vehicles and trailers with a maximum design speed of not more than 40km/h, sign boards for the rear of the vehicle shall be provided, and vans and vans shall be equipped with reflective body-reflective signs that meet the requirements.

For dangerous goods vehicles, it is stipulated that all its wheels should be equipped with disc brakes and radial tires, and should be equipped with anti-lock braking devices, speed limiting devices (or with speed limiting functions) and car driving recorders and other safety devices. A retarder or other auxiliary device should be equipped on roads in mountainous regions. Road transport explosives and highly toxic chemical vehicles should be affixed with orange reflective tapes on the rear and both sides; tanks for dangerous goods transport vehicles. The piping and piping accessories on the tank body shall comply with the corresponding special requirements.

(3) Detailed requirements for the verification of the maximum allowable total mass for heavy and medium-sized wagons are specified, and it is clarified that the structure and load-bearing form of the rear axle (including the drive shaft and the load-bearing shaft) of the wagon should be the same, in an effort to maximize the design and manufacturing links. Avoid the occurrence of over-limit overload during the use of such trucks.

(4) Relevant provisions concerning the arrangement of the last row of seats in the passenger compartment of the passenger car and in the cab (zone) of the truck and the provision of passenger seats in the cargo area of the cargo vehicle.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) addresses the issue of production consistency in the automotive sector (Note: production consistency refers to the consistent performance of mass production products and type approvals of automotive companies (when reporting to the state). A preliminary solution has been formed. If the performance of a company's mass-produced product is inconsistent with that of the type approval, it may be subject to the maximum penalty for discontinued production. This program will be launched at the right time.
